Wise Woman Herbals: Maintaining a balance to preserve our natural resources & protect the environment
Wise Woman Herbals is a family owned business employing less than 20 full-time people. We do not aspire to be a large business out of a desire to maintain high standards and exceptional quality. We are committed to conducting business responsibly and always remaining conscious of our impact on the environment and natural resources.
As a Corporate Sponsor of United Plant Savers, we adhere to their ''At Risk'' list. This means that we do not source plants at risk of being depleted in their natural habitat and we are committed to sourcing only organically grown, cultivated or ethically wildcrafted plants.
We are conscientious about our responsibility as stewards of this planet, further evidenced by our use of recycled paper and soy based inks with our printed material, biodegradable starch packing peanuts and recycled shipping materials. Used packaging materials and other waste is recycled, and processed plant material left over from production is used as compost. Through these efforts we discard next to no trash at the end of the day! We participate in our local electric company’s Green Power Network by purchasing electricity from renewable energy sources such as wind, solar, geothermal, hydropower, and biomass.
Sustainability continues to be paramount to the way that we conduct business. Now, through monthly ECO-WISE email offers we can minimize direct mail in an effort to save trees, reduce waste, and offer favorite products at a great savings. Login to the Professional portion of our web site to learn how you can participate and be rewarded with monthly and seasonal special offers on best selling products.
